Ken Duncan, animator of all things awesome!
It is with some irony that he was the lead animator for 4 of my favorite Disney characters. I had imagined this for a while, the interaction between his creations. IMO I think I nailed their reactions quite well.
There's Jane, excited to see the existence of a new creature which she quickly adds to her book of sketches. Cap'n Amelia, who noticing Jane sketching her, is less than amused. Doubting Thomas doesn't know whether to shoot the unknown creature or listen to her commands - she is captain after all. Then there is Meg, familiar with animal-human hybrids, who is either trying to calm Thomas down ("Let's not get trigger-happy, Tom.") or egging him on ("Hey, Cappy, look what he's got!").
